A Firm Foundation

Our family is entering a new phase of life this year. A phase that is defined by class schedules, lockers, gym clothes, band, orchestra, cheer, AP and honors classes. As with every phase of life our kids have gone through each one brings new experiences that all start with a bit of nerves and a lot of excitement. This one is no different.

Our oldest is headed into 9th grade, he has made the decision to really challenge himself. He is taking 2 honors classes and 2 AP classes (which both come with college credit). Words cannot express how proud I am of this young man! God has BIG plans for this guy... just wait and see!

Now for the biggest part of this phase... we have 2 girls going into Middle School! Now I know your gut reaction... probably something along the lines of "oh, I'm so sorry" or "wow that will be tough" or "I wouldn't go back to Middle School if my life depended on it"... and I've heard them all. However, we are choosing FAITH on this one! We believe strongly in the power of words.

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21

We are speaking and praying the following over our girls, and we would love it if you would join us!

- You will make good friends, who uphold the Word and will encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
- You will make amazing memories!
- These years of transition will build a firm foundation of FAITH!
- Your relationship with the Lord will mature.
- You will find a love for learning and discovering new things!
- You will be a leader!
- You will be a light!
- You will look back on these years with JOY!

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs,
that it may benefit those who listen.
Ephesians 4:29
